Cuttack and host Jharsuguda were declared joint champions of the 56th Senior Men Inter-District Football Championship for Sahani Cup after the final match between the two sided ended in 2-2 draw at Jharsuguda on today. Due to insufficient light, tie-break rule was not applied. Kishore Khadia of Jharsuguda team bagged the award as the Player of the Tournament.
Odisha Sports Minister Sudam Marndi handed over the trophy in the presence of Bargarh MP Dr Pravas Singh, Western Odisha Development Council chairman Kishor Kumar Mohanty and Football Association of Odisha secretary Sanjay Behera.
The championship commenced simultaneously at Jharsuguda, Brajrajnagar, Belpahar and Laikera on October 20. It was organized by Jharsuguda District Athletic Association, under the aegis of Football Association of Odisha.

Match No 1 at Jharsuguda: Bolangir (Abhimanyu Pandey 16th, Santunu Bhuyan 52nd) beat Dhenkanal 2-0.
Match No 2 at Brajrajnagar: Ganjam (Rahul S Patil 15th) beat Rourkela Steel Plant 1-0.
Match No 3 at Belpahar: Sambalpur (Prasanta Oram 65th, Benudhar Oram 80th) beat Kendrapada 2-0.
Match No 4 at Laikera: Bargarh got walk-over against Raygada, which did not report.

Match No 5 at Jharsuguda: Paradeep Port Trust beat Mayurbhanj 3-1 in tie-breaker (Full tim: 0-0).
Match No 6 at Brajrajnagar: Koraput got walk-over against Puri, who did not report.
Match No 7 at Belpahar: Angul (Rudra Naryan Pradhan 3rd, Ramachandra Marandi 26th, Laxman Marandi 56th, Antarjami Nayak 74th) beat Boudh 4-0.
